Return to Work Programmes

Back to Work Programmes

The programme begins by understanding what meaningful work looks like for the individual and identifying the factors that will support a successful and sustainable return to employment. Through vocational coaching, confidence building, and collaborative planning, we help participants explore their strengths, address barriers, and develop practical strategies that align with their personal circumstances and wellbeing.

As confidence and readiness increase, support can progress to more practical return-to-work activities, including CV creation, graded return-to-work planning, workplace communication strategies, employer liaison, job modification recommendations, skills development, and assistance navigating workplace expectations. Where appropriate, we work alongside employers, healthcare providers, and support networks to ensure the return-to-work process is coordinated, achievable, and focused on long-term success.

Throughout the programme, the individual remains at the centre of every decision. Our role is to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical support that empowers people to regain confidence, rebuild independence, and reconnect with the purpose and wellbeing that meaningful employment can provide. We believe that successful return-to-work outcomes are achieved not simply by returning someone to a job, but by helping them return to work in a way that is sustainable, fulfilling, and right for them.

Work Preparedness

Our Work Preparedness Programme is a flexible, person-centred programme designed to support individuals in building the confidence, skills, and readiness needed to successfully engage in meaningful employment. Recognising that every person's journey is unique, the programme is guided by the individual's goals, strengths, values, and aspirations, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. We work collaboratively with participants to identify their existing capabilities, explore future opportunities, and develop a pathway that feels achievable, sustainable, and aligned with their personal circumstances.

The programme may begin with a period of self-discovery and confidence building, focusing on identifying strengths, interests, transferable skills, and potential vocational directions. Through vocational counselling, coaching, and practical activities, participants are supported to overcome barriers, rebuild self-belief, and develop a clearer understanding of what meaningful work looks like for them. The emphasis is on empowerment, informed decision-making, and creating a sense of purpose and direction.

As participants become more confident and ready to move forward, the programme can transition into practical employment preparation. This may include developing workplace skills, preparing for interviews, exploring training opportunities, improving communication, learning effective job-search techniques, and gaining an understanding of workplace expectations. Where appropriate, support may also include assistance with employer engagement, work experience opportunities, and planning for a gradual return to work.

Throughout the programme, support remains flexible and responsive to individual needs, recognising that confidence, readiness, and goals can change over time. Our approach is strengths-based, respectful, and focused on building independence, ensuring that participants feel supported, empowered, and prepared to take meaningful steps towards sustainable employment and long-term success.

Job Search

Our Job Search Programme is designed to support individuals in finding meaningful and sustainable employment by building the confidence, skills, and strategies needed to successfully navigate today's job market. Whether someone is entering the workforce for the first time, returning after a period away, or seeking a new career direction, we provide personalised support tailored to their goals, strengths, and circumstances.

The programme takes a practical, hands-on approach to every stage of the job search journey. This may include identifying career interests and suitable opportunities, developing or updating CVs and cover letters, improving interview skills, learning effective job search techniques, and understanding how to present skills and experience with confidence. Participants are also supported to build professional communication skills, strengthen their online presence, and develop strategies for approaching employers and networking opportunities.

Throughout the programme, we focus on empowering individuals to become confident and independent job seekers. By combining practical tools with encouragement and personalised guidance, we help participants overcome barriers, recognise their strengths, and take meaningful steps towards securing employment that aligns with their aspirations and long-term wellbeing.

Our goal is not simply to help people find a job, but to equip them with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to successfully manage their career journey both now and into the future.

Numeracy and Literacy Assessments

Our Numeracy and Literacy Assessments are designed to provide a clear understanding of an individual's current skills, strengths, and areas for development in reading, writing, and mathematics. We recognise that everyone's learning journey is different, and our assessments are delivered in a supportive, respectful, and non-judgemental environment that encourages individuals to feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.

The assessments go beyond simply measuring ability. They help identify the practical skills needed for employment, training, and everyday life, providing valuable insights that can guide future learning and development. Whether an individual is preparing to enter the workforce, return to study, or build confidence in their foundational skills, the assessment process helps create a personalised picture of where they are now and where they would like to be.

Following the assessment, we provide practical feedback and recommendations tailored to each person's goals and circumstances. This may include identifying suitable training opportunities, developing targeted learning plans, or recommending strategies to strengthen specific skills. Our aim is to empower individuals with a greater understanding of their abilities and provide a pathway that supports confidence, independence, and long-term success in education, employment, and everyday life.
